Idria

Prerequisite: knowledge of lace.

The workshop works with Idria techniques, where few pairs and changing workers are used in inner arches as well as a different stroke in the outer arches to "lock" the wires.

Work drawings will be prepared and not just dot letters, for which Idria patterns are known.

The tasks are angel wings that can be put on bodies of natural materials.

Welcome to a couple of lace goodies and educational lace lessons.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of lace and Rose Grounds

In this workshop you will learn how to lace different double Rose Grounds. You will make a small test strip with the different grounds.

In double Rose Ground, you use twice as many pairs as in a regular Rose ground, but you do not have room for more needles. Therefore, you need to use the same needle several times and this is what gives the double Rose  ground a 3D effect.

Double Rose grounds are not difficult to lace, but you just have to crack the code.
